Schaumburg A.M. Rotary is pleased to have sponsored 5 students from Hoffman Estates High School at Rotary District 6440's March 7 - 10 RYLA weekend leadership camp held at Edwards Camp & Conference Center located in East Troy, WI.
The purpose of this program is to recognize young people who have demonstrated leadership skills or show the potential to be leaders, and provide them an opportunity to explore and further develop these skills with others having similar capabilities.
District 6440 Rotary Clubs cover 100% of the expense associated with each student's RYLA participation. The weekend emphasizes leadership skills, personal development, community and citizenship and includes education, fun and recreation for all.
Schaumburg A.M. Rotary Club president Joe Sabatino (third from left above) visited these five students during their RYLA weekend experience where all of them expressed appreciation to the club for this unique opportunity.
Kudos to District 6440 Rotarian and RYLA Conference Chair Sean Nelson for his hard work and dedication to this program for more than 20+ years!
