Schaumburg AM Rotary welcomed the officers and directors of the Interact Club of Robert Frost Jr. High School at today’s meeting. Club President Brian Bieschke conducted a ceremonial induction of this school’s Interact leaders in addition to recognizing two of its five faculty advisors.

Keynote speaker was Dist. 54 Superintendent Andy DuRoss, who acknowledged that educating students is a collaborative effort that includes parents, school teachers and staff, district administration and a variety of community based partners including Schaumburg AM Rotary.

Interactors updated Rotarians on their service projects during the 15/16 school year. Highlights included a meal packing session to benefit the mission of Feed My Starving Children, an Adopt-A-Family holiday shopping/gift wrapping session to benefit Frost families in need, promoting a school food drive to benefit Dist. 54 food pantries and a hands-on tie dye t-shirt fundraising project benefiting the Asante Africa Foundation, whose mission is to educate and empower African youth to confidently address life’s challenges, thrive in a global economy and be a catalyst for positive change.

We are proud to sponsor this group who represents the best of youth in our community. They are our future leaders, future Rotarians and the future of Rotary in the years ahead!.
