Schaumburg A.M Rotarians participated in Harper’s October 5 Hullabaloo activity that provides an opportunity for student organizations to set up tables in a designated location on campus to build awareness of their individual organization’s purpose and activities and recruit new members.   Rotarians are seeking student volunteers interested in forming a Rotaract Club at Harper.

While a local Rotary Club(s) serve as Rotaract sponsors, Rotaract clubs are student managed and driven, deciding how they want to organize and run their club and what hands-on service projects, networking events and social activities they wish to pursue.  Participating in Rotaract provides its members with opportunities to meet new friends, develop leadership qualities and professional skills and learn more about their community outside of the classroom or workplace setting.

Currently there are more than 9,300 Rotaract clubs worldwide with more than 216,000 members.

Thanks to club members Earl Bateman, Jim McKenzie, Sharon Perry, Greg Ring and our Dist 6440 Asst Governor Suzanne Gibson for participating in the effort and to Harper’s Community Relations Manager, Amie Granger, for making it possible for us to participate in the Hullabaloo.
