Congratulations to our 18/19 Club President Lori Corrigan and the club’s Board of Directors who were inducted at our June 5th installation dinner at Schaumburg’s Bahama Breeze by 17/18 Rotary Dist 6440 Governor Don Brewer.

Corrigan joined the club in October 2014 and has served in a variety of positions since then and most recently as the liaison between this club and the Interact Club of Robert Frost Jr. High School.

Our 18/19 District Governor Julie Clark, a member of the Rotary Club of Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates, was amongst many guests who joined us for an evening of fellowship and celebration of club accomplishments and service projects during the past year that supported the 17/18 Rotary International theme of “Making A Difference” in our community, both here at home and around the world.

A shout out of “Thanks” and appreciation to our outgoing president Scott Zambo for his time, talent and leadership during the 17/18 Rotary year.  The club honored Scott by planting a breadfruit tree in Haiti through the Wilmette, IL based Trees That Feed Foundation (TTFF), whose mission is to plant food bearing trees to feed people, create jobs and benefit the environment. Their goal is to alleviate hunger in Jamaica, Haiti and other less developed countries around the world.  TTFF originally established their model in Jamaica and have since expanded into Haiti, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Barbados, the Bahamas, Ghana and other countries.

Zambo named longtime member and club secretary/treasurer Bill Matthews as the club’s 17/18 Rotarian of the Year citing Matthews' perspective, insight, and knowledge pertaining to club operations and Rotary in general during this club's 28-year history of serving others.
