Club Vocational Service Director Greg Hollandsworth announced that the club awarded $4,000 in community vocational scholarship assistance to 3 area residents residing in Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates.  These individuals will be studying nursing at Palatine’s Harper College and Chicago's Resurrection University and auto mechanics at Jefferson Community & Technical College located in Louisville, KY.  Both Bieschke and Gleeson are second time winners of scholarship assistance at the club level.  In addition to receiving funding from the club Wegner was also named a 2014 Rotary Dist. 6440 Vocational Scholarship winner.

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary offers financial assistance to students who enroll in an accredited career, vocational, or technical program and who reside within Schaumburg Township. Eligible students will enroll in a program leading to a certificate or degree, and will plan to go directly into employment in that field upon completion of the program. These scholarships are primarily need-based rather than grade-based and are not intended for general academic pursuits or for students pursuing a traditional four-year college or advanced graduate degree.  Candidates for vocational scholarship assistance must complete an application and be interviewed by a committee of Rotarians.
